Using Ryzen 3600x with RTX 2080TI. Experiencing performance issues in 1440p and under, especially on ultra settings for games like PUGBG and Apex. Feeling the CPU gets sluggish when using a second monitor for streaming. Considering a replacement upgrade.

Have you checked the CPU and GPU usage? Is the CPU reaching 100% while the GPU remains idle?

Consider upgrading with a Ryzen 7 3700X or Ryzen 9 3900X for better performance. A 3600X offers strong power and should avoid the mentioned problems. Monitor your CPU and GPU usage during gameplay using an overlay.

You're handling multiple tasks while playing? The R5 3600X can still handle moderate multitasking during games. If you're only looking for higher FPS and the R5 3600X isn't up to the job, you really don't need an upgrade since most games use fewer than 8 threads and all Ryzen cores are similar. You'll get minimal performance gains with the R9 3900X or R9 3950X—any improvement comes mainly from a larger cache. For the full potential of a 2080 Ti, the i9 9900K would have been a better choice from the start.

I ran the HW monitor software. The Ryzen 7 3800X handled 90-96% usage, while the rest was around 85%. The GPU was at 70%. Was this performance better compared to the Ryzen 7 3700X?

I understand 9900k is fine, but I don’t want to alter the motherboard x) it won’t reach the maximum speed, only up to 4.1Ghz.
