This router is excellent. The one being discussed lets you assign a specific bandwidth to a device or restrict the overall usage. I don’t use it much since my connection handles everything well.
Hey everyone! I've updated the thread. We've spoken with the family about using an Edgerouter X and adjusting our D-Link DIR-855L router. Since we're on a 25 Mbps connection, we aim to turn it into an access point. If that doesn't work, we can switch to an AC-LITE AP. We're connected to a different ISP for most of our devices, so the focus is mainly on two LAN clients and a few Wi-Fi devices. Just to clarify, does anyone know about Ubiquity's SQM QoS and how effective it is?
That's great! I'll include the links in my notes. It's interesting two people discussed similar problems on the same day—I'll review the thread and see how it applies for them! Seems manageable. I'm excited to try it out once the Edgerouter is available.
