Hi there! For your needs, look into routers with advanced Quality of Service (QoS) features. Models like the ASUS RT-AX86U or TP-Link AR800 offer strong bandwidth prioritization, letting you assign specific speeds to devices such as your streaming laptop while limiting others. These options help ensure your device gets priority when required. Let me know if you need more details! Thanks!

It's challenging to enter the consumer networking area. Most products claim features, but they often don't perform well. In fact, Google's WiFi setup had the opposite effect for me.

Consider checking out a gaming router. What is your price range?

I’m interested in finding more affordable enterprise equipment. It seems the feature you need is labeled 'SQM,' though it may demand greater processing power when using faster connections. Your link speed is 25 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up.

Just focusing on what’s proven to be effective.

I'm not confident about what will definitely succeed.

I noticed what was happening, but costs are going up quickly, which is why I recommended those affordable G4mings routers.

It seems the situation might be more common than expected. I’m uncertain if lessees’ routers will handle it, but others could offer a different perspective. I’m hoping to be challenged on this point.

I think ASUS includes something similar in their routers, like QoS. It’s a feature I haven’t used because my connection is only 1GB per second.

The "gaming" router ads often lead to unnecessary spending on features you might not need. Ubiquiti offers a range of products across various price ranges. While some items can be costly, they are tailored for specialized use cases. Understand that choosing professional-grade equipment means setup differs from standard consumer devices. Routers, switches, and wireless access points serve distinct roles; separating them enhances performance in high-traffic networks. Modern homes require more than one wireless access point for medium to large spaces. For a router that excels at QoS, the $60 EdgeRouter X is a solid pick. It features a user-friendly interface with advanced options accessible via command line. Remember, this model is a router only—no built-in wireless access point. If you prefer a single device with comprehensive features and an intuitive graphical interface, the Synology RT2600AC is worth considering.
