Many young adults my age started playing doom, heretic and contra on school computers, though I haven’t actually won them. My boss lets us play games at work as long as we take breaks (he worked at ID Software in the 90s, so he’s into gaming). Emulated games are definitely popular, so anyone have some suggestions?
Absolutely missed Wolfenstein, but I've spent countless hours on Daggerfall Unity—it's really great!
Master of Orion 1 and 2. Honestly, MOO2 is the game I've probably dumped the most time into in my life, and that's even considering I haven't played it for 10+ years because I don't have a good emulator. All the old point and click games are great. Lucas Arts did amazing work. I particularly like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
