I don’t really enjoy gaming headsets, but I’m searching for a studio headset recommendation.

If you hadn’t mentioned your dislike for the 712 Pro, it would be my top choice. I’m curious about how much of the decision came from the soundcard or settings. Another well-liked pick among gamers is the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO

What aspects didn’t work for you? The audio selection had personal preferences, and the headset was driven by a DAC/AMP.

I used the sound blaster, probably named something similar. I was exploring audio techniques like m50x, which seems to be mentioned.

It's tough to predict your preferences without more background. Could you share what you disliked about your old headphones (too much bass, not enough, etc.)?

Sound blaster X isn’t tied to any specific model. Can you share what aspects of the 712 Pro didn’t meet your expectations? Without knowing your preferences and dislikes, it’s hard to offer helpful suggestions.
