I personally prefer OCCT, though many others have their favorites too.
I typically use a mix of Linpack Xtreme, HCI Memtest, and Memtest86. There are also other options like Memtest5 that work just as well. Each has its advantages and drawbacks, and I've experienced inconsistent results with different RAM models passing one test while failing another. It really depends on the specific situation, so you shouldn't depend on just one test to determine reliability.
I play games while doing stress tests because stress testing is dull, but it keeps things stable. Even if OCCT crashes after 1.5 hours, that’s what matters to me. I usually don’t play during that time, just using it as an example.
Stress testing can be tough, but I also don't enjoy games freezing during a mission. That would be worse than letting a test run overnight. Still, it's wise to consider GPU temperature while running Furmark during tests—it helps avoid memory overheating issues.
I work with TM5, Linpack Xtreme, OCCT, and of course games. Stress testing feels great on fresh hardware—it's really exciting!
I usually rely on Anta Extreme or Absolute, but I thought I’d give this one a try. While I was cleaning out the cobwebs on my 5600X, I haven’t really pushed this RAM much.
