Top RAM options for the R9 5900X in 2022 include DDR4 3200MHz modules. Look for compatible kits to boost performance.
Hello everyone. I’m searching for the top RAM option for my PC setup: R9 5900X, ASUS TUF GAMING x570 PLUS, plus a few other parts. I need to replace it quickly since the old one needs support and I don’t want to wait. I’m looking for something fast and compact. I prefer low-profile RAM, specifically Noctua NH-D15, and I want to use both CPUs at once. I also need around 32GB. I found a link to a product here: https://www.corsair.com/pl/pl/Categories...M2K3600C16.
My concerns are: some say 4000 MHz RAM isn’t reliable due to the Infinity Fabric, and others warn that 2x16 or CL16 3600 might cause crashes on CL16. I want advice from people who understand these specs. Also, my ASUS TUF GAMING x570 PLUS must support this configuration. The ASUS website’s hardware info seems outdated and confusing for potential buyers. It’s frustrating trying to find the right parts when everything feels off. I’m really hoping someone can help me out before things get worse. Thanks in advance!
Can't use 3600C14 because there aren't low-profile RAMs with this spec. Prefer not to take 3600C16 since I already have a G.Skill Trident Z Neo, DDR4, 32 GB, 3600MHz, CL16 (F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC). I've had resets and random reboots. It might just be the RAM issue or possibly my motherboard doesn't support 3600 or CL16. My friend recommended buying the VENGEANCE-LPX model with low profiles, not CL16 or 3600. It only has 16 GB, which I'm unsure will be enough for games and streaming. What do you think?
I actually own the same set, but with 16GB it performs well! It seems like a faulty stick might be the issue. The random resets and stalls aren’t necessarily linked to the 3600 CL 16 setting directly. RAM is rated for 3600 CL16 and *should* handle that speed, though real-world performance can vary. That’s why you reach out to the manufacturer for alternatives!
@freeagent U mean G.Skill Trident Z Royal DDR4-3600 C14 DC - Silver or gold - 16GB? They not looks like low-profile also they have in descprition "No" with "low profile" status. @mr fobs I am not sure what to think. I hope its all about ram sticks not broken mobo or cpu...
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories...M2Z4000C18 – it’s suitable for the R9 5900X. Also, 16 GB should be sufficient for gaming and streaming.
