Surprised that nobody talked about the F1 series. With the settings turned up high, it seems it could easily match the top sims games—especially the 2016 version.
I'm really excited about Forza 7. Dirt 4's fun but can be tough if you miss important callouts from your co-driver. As mentioned before, Asseto works well, though I usually prefer the Forza games more. I just don't have the time or budget to own every racing title.
