The Aorus Pro Wi-Fi uses a Gigabyte B450 chipset. For your R5 1600 (non-AF), you should aim for BIOS versions that support the latest Ryzen CPUs and Wi-Fi standards. Check the official Aorus documentation or compatible motherboard guides to confirm the best BIOS release for your setup.
Avoid upgrading to support 5000 series since that would prevent your 1600 from posting. Ensure everything functions properly, keep the BIOS unchanged, and skip flashing unless necessary. If you truly need a flash, I’ll suggest options but it’s unlikely to improve performance.
I also have a pending case with Gigabyte (over the past week) regarding this issue. I’ll keep you updated on their reply.
Don't wait too long. It's unlikely you'll get a reply from Gigabyte... Unfortunately. I appreciate their equipment, though I've faced poor support experiences before.
I didn’t want to recommend the Agesa 1.0.8.0, as it was the first version to back Ryzen 5000 chips. This BIOS came out even before the processors were available. I worry about losing support for your initial Gen chip, so I went with F35 to be cautious. One reason is that, due to this, there are no more BIOS updates improving performance for your current chip. The other is that there aren’t any further updates affecting system speed with your present hardware. It might not be worth updating past F53. I own an Athlon 200ge, which will receive support from all future BIOS releases if you upgrade and lose the 1600 support. However, I’ve just sent it to a friend in NY to flash his board, so I won’t be able to assist if I mistakenly suggest F40 or newer.
