Switching from i7-7700k to i9-9900K, as hinted in the discussion, I’m seeking proven advice. Feel free to share more about your setup if it aids in understanding recent issues.

You're opting for a top-tier setup, so you're likely investing in premium components. The top choice for the G-series is the Gigabyte Aorus Master.

You can't get away from the "why not Ryzen" question but if you're wealthy enough to buy the KS for 0-300MHz overclock potential on top of the 9900K, I see no reason to buy anything but the high end boards, so that includes the Aorus Master, Xtreme, MSI Ace, Godlike and Asus ROG Apex. Even slightly worse boards like the ROG Extreme (not that many phases) or Hero (really not enough phases, high VRM temperature when handling the CPU's 250w+ power draw) could lead to lower overclocks, which I see as a huge problem when you buy the KS instead of the K.

I've come across all the typical review pieces, most of which favor the Master. Nice to know another perspective supports it.

The straightforward explanation is that I'm using an Intel system right now and that's all I understand. I truly have no incentive to alter it unless it seems necessary. Please advise!

Check the boards with blue and green zones—most should work with your i9-9900KS. What model are you using for your i7-7700K?

GPU utilization is high while CPU usage remains low. What options do you have available, and what is your budget range?
