I'm looking for the best video codec to achieve top quality with x264, Quick Sync, or Nvidia NVENC for recording locally via OBS. If that works, I'd also use Adobe Premiere Pro with H.264 for editing and rendering. Thanks, GR412
Issues with shadow play lead to poor sound quality. The obs version of nvenc doesn't match the performance of shadow play even though audio bitrate settings are adjusted.
x264 remains the top choice, though it demands more processing power. Avoid obs for recording; consider dxtory instead. For optimal results with dxtory, use the recommended codec from VideoHelp: http://www.videohelp.com/software/Ut-Video-Codec-Suite
This doesn't make sense. The only option for using Dxtory in Obs is game capture, and Obs handles the processing.
Fraps has its flaws since you're limited to their options. Dxtory offers more flexibility, letting you choose any codec you like, and the one I mentioned works well.
Yes, it improves both video and audio quality. The settings are adjustable for optimal performance.
