The best choice truly hinges on your preference—whether you’re seeking a realistic experience or something more action-oriented. Titles like Project Cars 1 & 2, the Forza games, and the Dirt series (particularly Dirt Rally) are all excellent options.

Whether or not you find these topics contentious depends on your reading habits and priorities – what matters most to you? Do you prefer a steering wheel and pedals, or simply utilize a gamepad?

These titles warrant investigation: Project Cars 2 (my personal preference) and Assetto Corsa. AC is frequently claimed to be marginally more authentic, though I disagree; PC2 offers a considerably richer experience out of the box.

Intense discussions surround this topic when examining articles and online communities, and it largely hinges on your priorities. Do you prefer a steering wheel and pedals or simply utilize a gamepad?

Worth investigating are Project Cars 2 (my preference) and Assetto Corsa. AC is often claimed to be marginally more authentic, though I disagree; PC2 offers a considerably broader experience with greater depth out of the box.

Is customization and modification possible for vehicles in PC2?

If you're a fan of high-speed, sci-fi racing games like WipeOut, be sure to try Redout: Enhanced Edition. It’s especially enjoyable when played with a virtual reality headset.

Explore the fun of *The Great Race* on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/83844...reat_Race/. This hidden indie title features straightforward gameplay mechanics. My partner and I played it last week via local host. You might find the initial experience confusing, as this isn't a typical racing game – you won’t be completing laps, but rather pursuing objectives to accumulate points.

I greatly enjoyed Gran Turismo. In my opinion, Assetto Corsa offers the closest equivalent to that feeling on PC. Regarding what’s most widely played, I'm unsure.
