Hi,
I’ve already decided on some parts for my upcoming PC build, but I’m unsure what to pick for the rest:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9950X3D
GPU: GIGABYTE RTX 5090
RAM: G.SKILL 2x48GB 6000MHz CL28
SSD: WD SN8100 2TB
Now I’m looking for a motherboard that can connect everything, a reliable power supply, good CPU cooling, and a suitable case.
Do you have any recommendations?
If performance isn’t a big factor, I don’t want to overspend just for it. Speed matters most.
My main software includes:
Topaz Video AI
Topaz Photo AI
Topaz Gigapixel
Adobe Lightroom
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Premiere Pro
It’s mainly about rendering, upscaling, and editing with big files.
For gaming, I don’t plan to play much, but I need to run all current games at full quality, preferably with enhancement mods (GTA V VR / Cyberpunk VR / Skyrim VR / Indiana Jones VR / Alan Wake 2, etc.).
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Do you have any interesting suggestions? Users are advised to stylize their threads with info asked of in this thread; *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice First off, respect where respect is due - this is an adaptation of the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I created this because there's a lot of posts nowadays asking for upgrade advice both on here and on the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. to lend context to your predicament and the community will chime in with worthwhile suggestions.

Ensure you have a power supply of at least 1000W, ideally around 1200W for demanding tasks. Choose a motherboard that matches your intended connections—consider speed requirements like 2.5Gbps network, WiFi 6E/7, and USB ports. CPU cooling, GPU performance, and board dimensions will influence chassis selection, so plan accordingly. This list can help you get started:
