Looking at the recent updates on Ryzen CPUs, I’m thinking about switching from the Ryzen 5 5600X to the Ryzen 7 7700X. This will mean updating my motherboard and adding more RAM. For a budget of around 350 euros, what options are available?

The 350 euros won’t be enough for this. RAM kits only cover half the budget, and the remaining half would need the cheapest motherboard available—still missing a CPU.

Several AM5 boards are still in development. Many have been revealed, but it's hard to determine which is the top choice yet.

350 refers only to the cost of the motherboard, not the total project budget

Most motherboards haven't released their prices yet, making this mostly based on guesswork. I think the MSI X670e Carbon would likely cost around 350€ and seems like a strong choice, but without official numbers it's hard to speculate further at the moment.

Boards must be removed and independently verified to determine the optimal choice. The official documentation provides limited value since it doesn't reveal BIOS-related problems or unusual behaviors. I anticipate some initial compatibility challenges with DDR5, but if none exist, it would be a pleasant surprise.

It seems like most of them would fit the budget, but 250 is the highest I’d consider. It makes sense to wait until they’re officially released. Products are just getting announced now.

Motherboards begin near 125-150 EUR, meaning you’ll likely discover reasonably good options around 200-250 EUR, leaving more budget for RAM.

This thread needs updating since the processors are ready and I'm ready to buy the necessary parts. Just a note—my budget only covers the motherboard, not the whole build.

Didn't conduct extensive research... The Asus TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI 6E appears to be a solid option. It offers a balanced combination of features, an IO shield with various USB ports, multiple M.2 slots, and a USB 10G header. Overall, it seems well-rounded without any major drawbacks at first glance. Motherboards for ASUS Global are reliable.
