Hi,
I'm searching for a laptop priced near 1500$ before tax. I'm aiming for a 1tb SSD but prefer better performance over just storage. I also plan to play Halo Infinite, Personna 5 Royal, and Hogwarts Legacy. Specifically:
Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 OR AMD Ryzen 5 3600.
Memory: 16 GB RAM.
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti or AMD RX 5700 XT.
I'm also considering the Dell G15 and the Vivobook pro 16X by ASUS.
Appreciate any help you can offer.

Usually a genuine gaming laptop isn't extremely slim, so an SSD (and possibly RAM) can be upgraded. This isn't always certain, but it's quite probable.
Even now, matching performance to something like a 1080TI is challenging. Without RT, a mobile 3070TI would be needed, which usually costs over $1500 CAD—often.
Where did you find these specifications?
Currently, the "recommended" for Hogwarts Legacy is a 1070, P5R should be a 650TI, and Halo would be around RX 570/1050TI?
The absolute top raw specs under $1500 CAD I've seen recently are a 12th Gen i7, RTX 3070 mobile, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD.

Thank you! As mentioned in the previous message, I'm open to changing the storage option for power. I'll appreciate hearing your suggestions regarding the Aorus line of laptops. I'll keep you updated on my decision.

I'm unsure about the duration of that NewEgg promotion, but if you're not willing to act quickly, I might be discounting your interest since it seems unlikely to last much longer. The only comparable laptop with similar features (particularly the 3070) is currently on sale for $1,600 on Amazon: https://a.co/d/58nNc4o. Otherwise, you're likely facing a GPU price in the $1500 range for something similar.

I have activated the trigger. After evaluating the Aorus 5 against several alternatives, it proved to be the top choice. Further investigation into laptop options and storage upgrade costs confirmed its suitability for my needs.

Interestingly, while searching for comparable devices in that price range, I also discovered the TUF Dash 15.

Thank you for your time.

To sum up:
I selected the Aorus 5 paired with the TUF Dash 15 as a strong alternative.
P.S.
The specifications I needed came from the recommended ones for Hogwarts Legacy found on Google.

Checking the Steam listing makes sense; those requirements are pretty strict. It's a challenging target to reach the "recommended" status with laptop specs, but you should be very near it—especially with the Aorus 5, which is the best option under $1500 CAD for a laptop.
Processor: 6 Core CPU (i5-8400, R5 2500) + 8GB RAM + 1070 class GPU for 1080p/60/Low settings
Alternative: Stronger/hyperthreaded 6 Core (i7-8700, R5 3600) + 16GB + 1080TI for 1080p/60/High settings.
