Looking for affordable, free security tools compatible with Raspberry Pi or Linux (likely Ubuntu)? You might like Blue Iris-inspired options. For IP cameras, prioritize apps with low latency, solid frame rates, and reasonable resolution.

I completely understand your situation and apologize if no one has offered any guidance. I changed everything to Linux about two months ago, but my main issue remains with camera software. My licensed copy of Blue Iris is no longer useful, and nothing I’ve tried in Linux compares to it. I’m not interested in wasting time on Wine or VM solutions—they don’t work for Blue Iris. I have a Louwice outdoor cam that performed well on Blue Iris, but I can’t find compatible Linux apps. I’m currently using Ivedeon with a camera they recommended, which has solid support despite its flaws. It’s free for home accounts, but I’m stuck there. I thought your post might be outdated, but I hope it helps spark some ideas and get us both back on track!
