Looking for suitable GPUs for your HP EliteDesk 800 G1. You're planning to upgrade your PSU based on the GPU's power requirements and might want to explore options for connectors or even build your own setup.

I agree with your choice to assemble your own PC. The EliteDesk 800 G1 runs the latest i5 and i7 processors, but they may not provide enough performance for today’s gaming needs. The right decision hinges on your budget.

The HP EliteDesk 800 G1 is a compact form factor case with limited space. Upgrading the GPU and PSU may be better spent on building a new system instead of modifying this older one.

Sure, just plan ahead and start fresh. I think you have the tower; otherwise, you won’t even qualify for the PSU upgrade that fits the case. Even with an i7 already there, it’ll lag behind in performance. What’s your budget? In theory, you can build anything you want.

Your Rx 560 uses a dual SATA to 6-pin connector, which supports a dual GPU setup. For a 6-pin connection, you’ll want a GPU that fits that port and offers good performance. Pairing it with your upgraded Intel Core i7-4790 CPU will give you solid multitasking and gaming capabilities.
