Top games to try and those you can skip.
Top games to try and those you can skip.
I own a few games that I haven’t finished, and I’m planning to purchase more in the future. Here’s what I need advice on:
1) For the Assassins Creed series, I’m considering buying (II, Brotherhood, Revelations, Black Flag, Freedom Cry, Unity). I’m uncertain about (AC director’s cut, III, Liberation, Rogue). Do they make sense to play?
2) Should I buy Skyrim now or wait for a sale on Tamriel Online? Or should I get both together? What about the Batman Arkham City games if I buy the Origins Complete Edition and Arkham Knight?
3) Is it worth getting a PS3 or PS4 just for The Last of Us (Remastered), plus 2 Red Dead Redemption titles, 2 DLCs (Evil Within), and the Season Pass for Mass Effect?
The top choice is number two, but the rest falls short—really disappointing or poorly optimized. Get the regular version with the season pass; it won’t be very useful.
For Assassins Creed, skip the newer titles—they just fall short completely. I heard Black Flag was solid, though. Try Skyrim. Elder Scrolls Online isn’t the same as Skyrim; it’s far from impressive, but it’s better than most MMOs. No, it’s not worth spending money on a console for those few games.
AC 1, 2, brother hood, 3 (not ideal but to finish Demonds' tale) and Black flag, skip the rest 2). Skyrim is really affordable—just grab it. Play all the Batman games. I agree too, plus MGS 4 (and other PS3 titles) are worth checking out completely. Games like Journey and LBP are also great picks.
It's really disappointing. I thought I was being fair by labeling it average. The writing feels weak, the visuals are disappointing, and they ignored solid lore. If you need more details, I can put in a longer explanation, but I don’t want to spend time on something so bad. Bethesda has changed a lot from its past.
I don't see my way, but I understand your point about the lore. The world feels great to me, though it's just a matter of taste—some enjoy Fallout, others don't.
