I have no idea, he's on the opposite side of the continent, I'd need to ask him (if he ever replies). Where did you get it? (It seems he didn't need to download what I thought was easyUS). Edited December 21, 2016 by Made In Canada Words
The recommended site is http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home...ftware.htm
He followed this guide and mentioned he needs to pay for the software. It didn’t let him pick the SSD, which I think means he has to format it or something. http://www.todo-backup.com/backup-resour...to-ssd.htm
He can choose between understanding Linux (which is complex and technical) or buying one of the recommended programs. For paid options, I prefer Acronis TrueImage as the top disk management software. Alternatively, a fresh Windows 10 installation on his new SSD would provide a clean slate, eliminating driver conflicts. If he previously activated Windows 10 on that board, it should work again as long as the hardware remains unchanged. A simple clean install is recommended, and he shouldn’t enter any keys during setup. Once online, it should activate smoothly without issues.
Select the cloning tool that fits your needs. You can upgrade from a large HDD to a small SSD or vice versa, as long as they match in size. In the first case, the software must support cloning only the used portion of the HDD to the SSD; otherwise, you’ll need to resize partitions or remove unnecessary files first. The other two scenarios don’t require this step.
Thanks for the response, it worked perfectly (I have no idea how). Appreciate your time and clear explanation. Thank you once more.
