One third of the reviews show AVG causing more slowdown than Advast. I’ve tried Advast before, but is it problematic? Many people stop using it.

Most folks just grab any AV software, and very few have actually used it before. Their opinions often stem from outdated versions that don’t match today’s performance.

It's the small group that abandons it, honestly. Glad my servers are on Linux—no stress at all. Sad I had to use Windows for gaming, and those AMD drivers are really bad.

Also not just AMD Linux, sorry for the Nvidia obsession, just a fan of Nvidia here!

I really like the APU concept, so I decided to give it a shot with my servers Intel. If it works out, I’d switch to a gaming rig using a NVIDIA True model. I used to dislike Avast, but now my laptop and phone run it fine thanks to better alternatives like Avira. AVAST is still one of the top choices as long as you use something like Malwarebytes for extra protection. I’ve been using it for about two months, and Windows Defender has done its job well—though I wish it were more robust. Many people find it simple to set up, but I’m a bit concerned about its effectiveness.

Take a moment to focus and choose something—anything works. They each have their shortcomings, but only by testing them can you decide what suits you best.
