I didn't purchase it on Steam, but Humble Bundle offered free Steam keys for Civ3 during the same promotion.

I bought the metro 2033 and last light bundle on Steam for $7, but it seems the promotion has ended.

I hadn't thought someone would recommend nekopara. I wouldn't recommend the first volume because it's a spin-off and only gives a brief look at the characters. Even then, I find nekopara a bit average for a visual novel; there are many better options out there. R18 scenes are superior to most other erotic visual novels. For five euros, I'd purchase Dead Island Riptide—it's an excellent zombie game that isn't overly horror-focused, which I dislike. It offers co-op play and lots of fun with friends. It's quite casual. Unfortunately, the definitive edition is now the only one available, which makes it more expensive. Dirt 3 remains a solid rally game that was free on humblebundle a while back. It's a few euros on G2A and Kinguin, but it can't be bought from Steam for some reason. I don’t have many games under five euros, most are closer to ten. For ten euros, there are plenty of recommendations. Garrys Mod, Insurgency, and Half-Life 2 are all solid choices. Plus, they’re all Source titles, so they’re also available on Linux!

Nekopara stands out because it’s incredibly charming, especially with its cute characters. Those catgirls are hard to resist. The R18 content stands out notably compared to other VNs. Dead Island offers a lot of enjoyment. I haven’t played Riptide because it felt similar to the original with just updated missions. I don’t mind opinions about Dead Island—it might have some glitches, but it’s still a fun experience. It’s a solid game for group play.

Quick pause, hazy effect, that's what I like about arcade racers. Hit me.
