It's all about the thrill. WoW and SC2 would still rank high even after a long break. DSP is my newest obsession. Gaming is my passion.

I became really hooked on Left 4 Dead 2... spent 8 to 12 hours daily for a while... realized it wasn't good for me and stopped. Then I switched to playing Fallout games and other titles via Steam, only purchasing them once I had a job and could afford them.

Using GOG Galaxy 2.0 to attempt a full setup... Battlefield 2042 is active, with around 200 hours logged; it seems the system recalculated it several times. Other sections appear normal: Destiny 2 shows roughly a few hundred more hours since I played on Battle.net before switching to Steam. NOTE: It tripled the count for 2042 because the Steam version launches the Origin edition, and Origin mistakenly treated playing 2042 as using the trial mode at the same time.

My Steam might give me a false impression of not playing games, but the truth is I usually stick with native clients available outside Steam. Not included are: 1) Final Fantasy XIV – typically around 10,000 hours. I’ll review my top two character sessions later and update accordingly. 2) Genshin Impact 3, Ragnarok Online 4, Elite Dangerous 5, Earth and Beyond – mostly MMOs. Edit: My FFXIV original character logged 102 days, 0 hours, 4 minutes. My current main totals 173 days, 0 hours, 16 minutes. Only about 6,600 hours across these two characters. I doubt my third will reach 10,000 so I’m still not a pro.

Payday 2 is my favorite game, though it might be the top choice ever. I used to leave running when I wasn’t playing for long stretches, so I wouldn’t think that number. Probably similar for CMS 2015 and maybe the worms game too—I don’t even remember playing that.

Witcher 3 needs to be considered a high-tier title as well, yet I see it available on GOG instead of Steam.

It's interesting how much time I waste exploring strategy games until I notice the time patterns. Still, strategy games and RPGs seem to be my favorite.

It would take millions of hours to complete the game.

I mostly avoid playing too many games at once. Team Fortress 2 stayed with me for nearly ten years before I stopped, Rocket League no longer interests me, and The Sims 2 isn’t really a focus—my partner used it on my account. Most of what I play is single-player, and I usually finish one session before moving on. I don’t see the point in spending hours on just one title; I prefer different experiences and fresh challenges instead of repeating the same loop.
