Purchased an DDR4 module for a 13600kf system. Recently upgraded to a DDR5 module from Gigabyte Z790 UD AX WiFi 6. Still unsure about the maximum speeds for DDR5 RAM and whether running them in a system with 6400MHz CL16 is feasible.

"Gear 1" refers to the first set of equipment or tools needed for a task. It’s likely a specific category or type of gear used in the context you’re discussing.

Gear 1 isn't compatible with DDR5 on the 13th generation; all components are in Gear 2. Gear 4 is possible in theory, but it likely won't function without an XOC-focused board.

Not every DDR5 chip supports the lowest speed setting due to design limitations.

The Intel memory controller isn't compatible with Gear 1 and DDR5, especially on today's processors.
