In reality, the top speed for the 1155 socket should belong to the e3-1290v2, though compatibility on certain motherboards may be uncertain, particularly if BIOS updates aren't possible. I’d prefer the Core-i series since they’re reliable and the gap in performance between e3 and i7 isn’t significant.

appears the top option is an i7-2600 or 3770. it seems they didn’t include support for the 2700K.
