The 980 won't see significant gains no matter the CPU it runs with, as it already offers a solid balance with the 4770k. A switch to something like a 1080ti might help a bit, but likely not enough to justify finding a decent 1080ti model.

You already have a well-rounded setup. The main processor I’m using right now is a 4790k plus 980, and I wouldn’t upgrade to a CPU for a 980 myself.

Obviously, the top CPU to match any GPU is always the most powerful one. So, a 13900K (or AMD's new 3D series, not sure if I'm catching it) paired with a 4770K makes a solid combination. If it works for you, don't consider upgrading.

FiveM and GTA V generally require a lot of CPU power. I don’t understand your background or budget, but you could upgrade to a 13600K and get a used 2080Ti/3070Ti/3080.
