For DCS you should opt for the quickest cores available since multi-threaded improvements aren't yet released. A 12th generation Intel processor over 5GHz is currently the top choice. Even with those chips and a 3070, you'll see around 40-50 FPS in DCS VR—it's functional but not as refined as IL-2.
