I checked the ASUS list and looked for the A88XM-E. For gaming performance, the best CPU options are typically the latest generation models from AMD or Intel, such as the Ryzen 7 or i7 series. If you want top gaming performance without changing the motherboard, consider upgrading to a newer CPU like the Ryzen 9 or an i7/i9 from the same socket.

It offers no substantial improvement compared to that processor.

The A10-7890K appears to be the top choice among options, though factors like stock, price, and so on come into play. Personally, I own an A10-7870K and it performs well; I think any noticeable difference between the two would be minimal when compared, and a 7870K should also be more accessible and affordable.

Staying with the same person can help you succeed, but it depends on the situation and your goals.

It's useful for slightly improved performance without significant gains. Replacing the CPU isn't necessary.

Sure, I'll stick with my savings for a new motherboard RAM and CPU, possibly an i3 12100f. Since I already own a GT1030, it should be manageable.
