Hey, so my friend is building a computer. He's planning to buy my case and PSU off of me for a good deal. The case is great, it's a Rosewill R536 Red, personally I think it deserves more attention but that's just my opinion. Anyway great case, issue is it's 7.25" wide. Anyway I keep reading that the Hyper 212 EVO is a great cooler for the G3258 for overclocking it to the maximum potential, but it just won't fit in the case, and yes, I have tried it.
Anyway, does anyone know a good low profile air cooler solution that's fairly cheap? Now I know, my title says / water cooling, but this is my friends build he's getting for his birthday, and I really would prefer his birthday present doesn't get ruined because of a leaky water cooler. But if it comes down to water coolers, I'd prefer the cheapest one that'll get the job done. And finally, the area I think I want to get my friend's CPU at is at LEAST 4.0 GHz, so it definitely won't be a serious overclocking rig. Thanks!

High quality AIO liquid coolers are remarkably leak-proof. This is something I've never encountered before on the forum. I own a few Corsair H60 coolers, and coolant leaks are the last concern I have.

High quality AIO liquid coolers are generally very leak-proof. This is something I've never encountered on the forum before. I own a few Corsair H60 coolers and don't worry much about coolant leaks.
I also have a couple of 212 EVOs, and they perform just as well as the H60s.
However, the H60 tends to be a bit more expensive, around $30 to $50.

Don't waste money trying to overclock the G3258.
It really depends on luck.
I invested $150 in a H100iGTX, but ended up with a weak Overclocking G3258. It barely hits 4.3GHz at 1.3 volts.
It's all about luck.
A regular cooler might let it run at 4.5Ghz if you're lucky.
If you're serious about getting better performance, opt for the NH-L9x65.
