The board and CPU are expected to perform well above 4000MHz, with 16GB 2x8 overclocking being simpler than 32GB 2x16 sticks. Keep this in mind.
It's not usually the boards that reach their limit; it's the processor's built-in memory controller. My 8700K handles up to 4300MHz. You could push more, but stability would be an issue.
A solid Z490 with 10900K should handle stable 4400+MHz performance. Your 9700K struggled beyond 4133MHz, so this upgrade looks promising.
However, I believe the IMC on Intel CPUs is consistently better than AMD's, so it should manage things well. Still, it might be a waste to spend that much on these DDR4 modules, especially since DDR5 will come soon. Maybe it’s just a temporary solution.
Current memory in use with my 9700K is this model: https://www.bol.com/nl/p/g-skill-trident...ifications The memory I'll be using for the 10900K is likely this one: https://www.megekko.nl/product/2046/1044...ugenmodule
He mentioned a kind of trident related to Samsung but didn't finish the sentence.
