Because the title hints at severe lag, I have a 120mb/s connection and my system is powerful enough for it. I ran tests across various browsers to find the best option for YouTube, especially UHD and 5K content. Chrome and Opera both struggle with smooth playback, showing noticeable stuttering even at 4K resolution; 5K isn’t available. Firefox and Internet Explorer handle 4K well, though sometimes they display a green screen with audio or only fix it temporarily. Safari didn’t load any 4K videos at all. Share your experiences and any tips that might improve performance, since none of the browsers are working as expected.

It was developed by the same organization. You might need to adjust preferences and ensure Hardware Acceleration is enabled.

No issues with Chrome. 4K and 60fps work smoothly.

I don’t face issues with 4K content in Chrome. It seems most people with 6000-series AMD graphics can easily watch 1080:60p YouTube videos. However, from a logical standpoint, Google’s browser performs best when used with their platform.
