I’m forced to rely on Windows since that’s what I need for gaming. Yet if Apple could make OS X compatible with any system—similar to Linux and Windows—and offered game options like Windows, I’d likely use it all the time.

I don't believe any OS is superior. Windows offers the biggest software collection and is user-friendly. Linux provides security, is free, and more robust for advanced users. I haven't much to say about MAC OS, but I'm sure it has its strengths. It seems the choice depends on what experience you're looking for. Windows is generally a versatile all-rounder. Some Linux distributions are tailored for specific tasks—like Steam OS for gaming or Ubuntu Studio for design.
