Hello, I understand you're seeking guidance on securing your home network. You mentioned wanting to prevent access to inappropriate or adult content while managing your kids' online activities. Regarding OpenDNS, it appears it doesn't support HTTPS sites properly—please verify that detail. Are there simpler alternatives available for blocking such content easily? Your situation sounds important, so let me know if you'd like more options! Thank you.

The optimal approach is using parental controls. Blocking sites via DNS can be complex, so adding them to the device is a simpler option.

AFAIK Pihole can prevent access to blacklisted websites even when they're secured with HTTPS. The system should display an error when attempting to visit a blocked site. However, this approach depends on manually adding the domains to the blacklist, meaning it may not catch every site but would handle major ones effectively.
