It seems you're referring to April 16th. For OP, either Ubuntu or Mint would be suitable.

Hi there, new Linux user. I’ve been exploring various Linux distributions, but most have left me frustrated with glitches, poor design, and outdated appearances. I’m really stuck with Linux Mint Cinnamon. It feels uninspired and lacks excitement. On the flip side, it’s straightforward and reliable—no complaints needed. It’s the simplest Linux system you can use. It resembles Windows Vista with green highlights. Yes, Linux Mint Cinnamon is quite plain, which is why it works well. For a side note, steer clear of any product named “XFCE.” Its interface feels stiff and unappealing, especially for power users. XFCE looks like a basic layout but can be tailored to your taste. EDIT: Ubuntu 18.04 functions adequately, though it’s slow and has some issues. Linux Mint Cinnamon is significantly better. It’s much improved compared to what I’ve tried before. Anything worse than Ubuntu or XFCE isn’t worth it.

I transferred my work laptop from Ubuntu 18 to Linux Mint 18, which is set up for an upgrade to version 19. The new features in 19 seem impressive.

You're currently on 19, which is quicker than version 18.3.

I use it professionally to ensure stability, as I want to avoid losing work or encountering issues during AWS updates.
