Top choice for gaming graphics cards offers exceptional performance and visual quality.
Hello, I reside in Thailand and am setting up my first PC at the end of the month. Here’s my current build. Don’t worry too much about the components—I know shipping fees are high and they add extra charges often. Now, regarding your question about graphics cards: I’m weighing between the 5700 XT, the 2060 Super, and the 2070 Super. Mostly I’ll be gaming, playing Rainbow, CSGO, Overwatch, and Fortnite at 1080p with competitive settings. The local store suggested the 5700 XT because of its high temps and the challenges drivers bring in Thailand. I’m new to PC building and not great with drivers, but I understand it’s more cost-effective. Another key point is that I’ll likely record gameplay often and might stream sometimes. Based on this, what would you recommend? I’d appreciate your thoughts so I can avoid costly mistakes later. Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
The cards you referenced cover enough for the games you talked about. I’m not very familiar with streaming details, but NVIDIA does have NVENC support. For future-proofing, a 2060 SUPER would be a good choice; if you prefer spending more upfront, opt for the 2070 SUPER. Regarding the 5700 XT, thermal issues seem tied to the reference model only.
I understand it's a bit excessive, but I didn't mention that I'll also be playing Rust. I'm aiming for around 240 fps on most games except Rust. I remember hearing about driver problems with the 5700XT or whether those have been fixed. Also, I might try running Rust at 1440p and 144hz.
I used mine to capture Xbox and PC screens without any issues. The Gigabyte model stays cool, and after installing MSI Afterburner and adjusting the fan curve, it performs well. The AMD drivers need better handling.
I assumed a standard setting wouldn’t need a custom one because there are three fans, but you could adjust the fan speed directly or create a custom curve. Thanks for your assistance!
You can simply adjust the fan speed yourself. A customizable curve makes it more convenient. You also have the option to turn it off whenever needed.
