It can be quite demanding on the CPU if not configured properly. For 1080p60, it's likely too much with your current CPU while gaming. Try 720p60 or 1080p30 instead. With your setup, using OBS with QuickSync at a high bitrate and then compressing with Handbrake should work well.

Thanks! I won't go for 1080p60, I'm recording at 720p30. I'll test OBS next time, though I didn't like the quality then—I'll try Quicksync with higher bitrate.
