Top choice for a home NAS setup.
Top choice for a home NAS setup.
Hey everyone, I’m completely new to the concept of setting up a NAS. I’m still figuring out what I need at the moment. My goal is to create a home NAS for storing photos, music, and digital backups of our movies. I want my kids to be able to watch saved films on their tables and listen to music on their phones while they’re outside, all through the NAS. Since we live in a rural area with satellite internet, I don’t plan to use anything that requires constant network access from outside the home. I’m not interested in remote access, so I need something reliable within our local network. Would PLEX be a good fit, or should I explore other options? I’m eager to learn about systems and their setup details. Thanks!
I rely on ready-made solutions such as ReadyNAS NV setups. Simple, hassle-free, no maintenance required—just load data and let it run smoothly.
