Hey everyone, I was wondering which web browsers tend to use the most memory. Personally, I’d give this one a top spot—Google Chrome. It hasn’t slowed me down at all!

Absolutely, it's Chrome. I can't even run it on my phone with just 1 gig of RAM.

Memory consumption isn't the main issue, unless you can't use a web browser then I'd really think about your computer again...

Chrome... though I have over 150 tabs, my view might not be reliable.

It’s not something that requires fixing. The high RAM usage comes from its advanced features and capabilities, which is why it stands out as the top browser. With just 1GB, you’d need more than enough RAM if you have extra space; otherwise, upgrading to a new device would be necessary.

My system has 16GB on one machine and 64GB on another. Chrome is consuming a lot of memory even during normal browsing, which is a problem. Keeping track of memory usage is important. Chrome isn't very efficient at managing its resources and doesn't clear up memory quickly.

It seems Google Chrome might be experiencing memory issues, though this is just my perspective.

It's definitely Chrome. I've never exceeded 512 MB of memory usage while using it. That's because I usually keep only a few tabs open at a time, not the full 6.5 million.
