I'm not a specialist, but for audio editing I rely on Audacity and many others use it. You can find more info here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

If you're using Adobe Creative Cloud, consider trying Audition. While I mostly use it for simple tasks like trimming and adjusting levels, I think it offers advanced features that aren't necessary for my current workflow.

FL Studio functions, though it requires payment.

From a basic stereo file, such as one from iTunes or YouTube downloader, separation isn't feasible. You might adjust levels with EQ to highlight or soften certain sounds, but isolating vocals requires a multi-track recording.

Act fast, before you commit funds—your goal might not be feasible! If you're looking for a DAW, consider Reaper. It's significantly more affordable yet equally effective.

You can obtain a free trial to test the software. It allows you to build a project during the trial, though you won’t be able to access it afterward. We strongly suggest trying the trial beforehand. (Note, this program is also known as Fruity Loops)

I use multiple DAWs, but ProTools stands out as my top choice for editing. I enjoy Ableton and Cubase, but ProTools offers the best results. What are you aiming to edit? (Just to clarify, FL might not be ideal depending on your definition of editing; it’s more about sequencing.)

He’s attempting to isolate vocals or instruments from a stereo recording, which isn’t feasible. Still, FLStudio is worth mentioning—it’s ideal for electronic music production with its sequencer features.
