Consider key specs when choosing a motherboard. Popular options like B660 and Z690 dominate discussions because they offer better compatibility and performance. M.2 NVME drives can boost speed if used correctly. Your setup includes SATA SSDs, two HDDs, and a swap bay—this suggests you may need more SATA ports than usual. You're building a system with an i5-12600 RX 6600 XT, 258GB Samsung EVO, 2TB Western Digital, and 4TB Toshiba BenQ 2780Q, housed in a CoolerMaster HAF X case.

The MSI MAG B660M Mortar is a solid choice. With H670, the MAG h670 Tomahawk performs well based on my experience.

12600 offers poor worth. It matches 12400(F) or 12600K. Check out the MSI Pro B660M-A.

You're looking at a good price point for a 65W setup. The 35€ difference between your country and others is relatively minor. Regarding the MSI PRO B660M-A, it does come with an I/O panel, which should suit your needs. Using a HAF X case is fine, but switching to an ATX might offer better compatibility or cooling options depending on your build.

Yes, they are the typical ATX form factor I'm familiar with.

Check the suggestions carefully, it might show up to 117W. Observe that the 65W is the base TDP without boost. When thermal limits are tight, adjusting voltage on a K model could improve performance over a fixed part. Keep in mind the K includes more L2 cache.

They're talking about the Max Turbo Power, which applies to both the 12400 and 12600 models. The 12600 offers a higher base and turbo clock while maintaining the same efficiency. Correct?
