I’m looking for a more powerful antivirus solution than Norton ATM. Someone knows of any good alternatives you can recommend.

Norton is a virus by nature. Remove it now! I've tried almost every solution and Bitdefender consistently stands out as the top choice. It receives high marks across all platforms.

It's quite affordable too. Are you looking for the latest update?

I would recommend Kasperski. It's easy to use and stays in the background for the most part after you tell it to. And if that's not good for ya here's a roundup of 10 anti virus's http://www.maximumpc.com/article/feature...d_compared

Access to free items usually restricts your ability to use the software. I’m considering making a purchase.

Check out the article at the provided link—it covers some top anti-virus options. If you need more, just search for "Anti-Virus" and it should be the first one.
