Malwarebytes 2.0 is essentially the same tool as before, just with a refined user interface. The main changes are cosmetic, not functional. I've experienced minimal problems since installation, and the updates only improved its appearance.

I suggest Avast. Make sure to avoid Norton or McAfee.

Did you mean it was any other way or that its detection features were less effective? I find the new GUI and layout unappealing. I still use it occasionally when necessary. In my view, and keep in mind this is my perspective, it appears very poor. I’m sure you’ll respond that it doesn’t matter, but you’re just repeating what’s obvious.

Other antivirus options vary in appearance, but Avast stands out with a clean interface, AVG has a somewhat outdated look, and Malwarebytes remains straightforward without unnecessary complexity. Despite the design, Malwarebytes is still highly regarded for its speed and reliable protection. The built-in Windows controls felt dated, which is why I prefer using it for performance rather than aesthetics.

The top choice is Microsoft Security Essentials. I've been using it since 2010, and I didn't encounter any issues with it. Before that, I used Avast, but now I rely on AdwCleaner regularly—it helps eliminate unnecessary programs and some toolbars. I highly recommend MSE!
