Norton has existed since early gamers began pushing the 286's limits. It doesn't improve performance, but it offers greater reliability.

After considering these suggestions, I reached a clear point. Adhere to what you understand. Each PC has unique requirements, but all AVs should ideally provide the same protection. If you feel secure using an AV product and it hasn’t caused any issues or discomfort, continue with it. Generally, I avoid free AV software (some features are worth investing in), though I recognize there are excellent options. You can discuss any AV program freely (and people will argue with you), but in the end, choose what you trust. If Avast has been reliable for you, keep using it (for my record, I think it’s quite solid).

I'm using !avast Free Antivirus and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free Version for performing manual scans. It really works well for me!
