Hello everyone, I just began working at a new lab and my professor brought back an old FPLC machine that needs a Windows XP-compatible computer. I’m looking for suggestions on laptops that run Windows XP natively or if it’s possible to install XP on a newer device using a reliable method. Thanks! Philip Spyrou

Latitude D-series and Compaq Presario are available at reasonable prices—look for Pentium M or Core 2/Core 2 Duo processors. I also have several units from this era in excellent condition, usually priced below market rates if you're interested. I’m open to installing any of them with XP Pro enabled. All units are in great shape; I own a single-core 2GB Compaq for $30 and a couple of dual-core 4GB models for $40, which could drop to $30 when paired with a hard drive and 2GB RAM.
