I rely on CoreTemp because it displays temperatures in the taskbar, though I haven’t explored other options yet.

I only track temperatures using SpeedFan; however, I also use HWMonitor occasionally.

MSI Afterburner offers a useful chart feature, while HW Monitor provides clear readings of current, minimum, and maximum temperatures for most components.

Almost every option is available at no cost. From the devices you can use. Examples include HWmonitor, OpenHardwareMonitor, Speedfan, MSI Afterburner, CoreTemp, RealTemp, HWiNFO...

The hwmonitor and hwinfo64 provided inaccurate data, showing fake readings and misleading vcore spikes. Real hwinfo warned about a 2V vcore spike and a temperature of minus 88°C. I switched to the System Information Viewer for more accurate results.

It seems the readings were off for the wrong temperatures and voltages—likely from the motherboard reports rather than the CPU. There could also be sensor inaccuracies. I’m saying this because I haven’t faced such issues with HWiNFO before. It’s frustrating to tweak settings to match your preferences, but that’s just the way it goes.
