You're looking for a solid, affordable 5+ port switch under $50. Focus on models with good reliability and fast performance—think mid-range brands like TP-Link, Netgear, or ASUS. Check for features like built-in Wi-Fi, USB ports, and solid build quality to ensure it meets your needs without breaking the bank.

For those without a managed switch or Power over Ethernet, the NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) offers a solid choice near $20.

WD My Net Switch - 8 Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Switch is available on Amazon. It functions well, though it’s simple and made with affordable materials. No problems or complaints have been reported.

I don't understand what you're asking about. You seem to be confused about some terms. Let me clarify if you'd like help with anything specific!

That's a solid choice. I tried the Netgear GS308 without any problems until I needed more ports, which led me to upgrade. The TP-Link TL-SG108 seems like another strong pick and comes at a lower price.

These can achieve speeds around 2.5 gigaelectronvolts per second. That’s a high energy level, often seen in advanced particle experiments.

2.5Gb indicates the maximum speed these ports can achieve. Unless your setup includes other compatible devices and a scenario that leverages faster performance, you won’t see the advantage. Even without knowing, I haven’t found any 2.5Gb switch priced below $100, let alone under $50.

nope there gigabit only. Do your device support 2.5gbe? There is a 5 port 2.5gbe switch for about a 100 bucks from qnap.

I have a $50 budget and I’m unsure about servers, but I don’t know much about networking or the motherboard’s 2.5G capabilities.
