I want to know some models of best and cheapest LGA 775 motherboards that can overclock Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz to at least 3.6GHz.
This guy overclocks this CPU in very low cost motherboard:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rvzd6rvKupY&t=31s
I also found Gigabyte EP35-DS3 board in their official site, but it is not available in eBay now.

Please I need some advice on this. Thank You.

it's tough to imagine working with an outdated and obsolete system. unless this is purely for entertainment to push my limits, i can't really say whether purchasing something makes sense unless it's nearly free [opinion].

other items from asus or gigabyte would work well in this list, provided the caps are correct. The asus p5 series was a solid overclocking option. If you locate one, the dfi lan party was known for its overclocking capabilities. Make sure the motherboard you purchase is compatible with the chip, since not all boards supporting the 775 socket also backed later core 2 quad generations—some received BIOS updates while others lost support for newer CPUs on older boards.

It's cool to explore what you can create with your P5Ql and Q8400 combo.

the only thing you can do is open the bios, start working, and check those links.

Will this Gigabyte GA-P43-ES3G Rev 1.1 Socket LGA 775 DDR2 800 Intel P43 motherboard work? And I often purchase this one, but my funds aren’t sufficient.
