I don't see any indication of a blue screen on Windows. All the overclock tools log temperatures, which seems to be what you're after.
It makes sense if the program can close automatically and you can still view it later.
I would choose a simple HWMonitor like http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html for an overview and http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ for deeper details. I’m not sure if they can save data automatically, but you shouldn’t be required to do that. Just run a benchmark or a detailed GPU test focusing on temperatures and usage. Good luck!
GPU-Z offers a feature called "Log to file." Adjust it at the bottom of the interface. The three load values shown don’t change regardless of the situation, even during low activity.
