Tool for Linking to Comp's SSH via PuTTY
You're looking for ways to access your server from an iPhone without jailbreaking. A good approach would be using remote desktop software that lets you connect directly to the machine, then launch PuTTY on top. This way you bypass the VPN and get straight to SSH access.

The issue is my iPhone isn<|pad|>, not on the same network as the server, and I can't VPN it into the network (for various reasons). I need to link to the computer on the network that can SSH into the server. The process of connecting to that computer and then rooting the SSH client is what I'm after.
It seems you're looking for ways to connect remotely without needing the device to be on the same local network. You can use SSH over the internet by linking to your server's external IP address, provided you adjust the port accordingly.
I've considered remote access options, and it looks like the only viable path here. I can't proceed with that setup. I'll explore a backup solution someone suggested yesterday and check its feasibility.
Use TeamViewer to connect to your VPNed machine and then SSH into the server. The iPhone app works without needing any port forwarding.
Set up webmin on your server and obtain an xyz.no-ip.xyz address. Access it from anywhere securely. If that doesn’t meet your needs, consider using screen for Linux and create custom startup scripts.
