Tool detects and attempts to remove malicious files on Microsoft Windows.
Usually the tool needed to remove malware had to be downloaded via Windows updates. Now it seems to start automatically on Windows 10, consuming all my disk space. The previous day the Windows Modules Installer was also using the update, then Update 2 stopped. Now two tasks named Microsoft Windows system protection background tasks are taking over and using a lot of space (location C:\Windows\system32). Update 3 happened too, and Windows Installer has been using many files as well. Update 4 is asking me to restart even though I set updates manually, which might be linked to the removal tool. Everything seems back to normal now. Is this typical?
