Hey there, I just spotted something unusual with my build. It’s heating up to over 75°C during short bursts—around 20 minutes—and drops back to about 65-70°C when usage is normal (30%-50%). What worries me is that my GPU, CPU, and power supply are all cooler than the main board by 10-20 degrees. The only recent updates were installing an RTX 2080 Super (upgraded from a 1050 Ti) and I’m not sure if this was the start or just a gradual change. Airflow looks decent, cables seem well-organized, and fans are sufficient, so I’m puzzled about the real issue. is your system using an m.2? when the gpu and cpu work hard, your board gets quite hot. you can monitor m.2 temperatures with crystaldisk. these high temps are concerning because anything over 60°c is problematic.

That’s the idea I had, but a CPU shouldn’t always lose to the drive… I’m not using an M.2 drive; instead, I’m running two HDDs in RAID 0 and pairing it with an SSD for my operating system.

Which tools are you using to measure temperatures? Have you experimented with different applications or BIOS settings to verify the readings?

use hwmonitor, corsair link, or speccy together to gather a better understanding. False signals often appear, particularly with subpar software. That should be the situation.

Holy crap yeah it's 8 degree's lower on this and has every temp monitoring point listed. Way more f***ing useful, I'm curious where ASC was getting that reading from then? But anyhow I'm going to do another burn test and see what happens with this tool real quick.

I believe you and BMX are correct; the software indicates a nearly 10% reduction during idle. I’ll need to conduct further tests before confirming.
